WOKKA SAKi appoints Raul G. Godoy as Vice President Sales Latin America, The Caribbean, & Mexico.

WOKKA SAKi (www.wokkasaki.com), the vodka saké brand owned by the UK company Extreme Spirits Ltd, is proud to announce the appointment of Raul G. Godoy as their vice president of sales for Latin America, The Caribbean & Mexico. The appointment is effective March 1st 2005. It will allow Mr Godoy to analyse and select the best possible distributors in his area of responsibility, establish marketing and promotional programs for WOKKA SAki, with the brand having recently been launched this month across Florida, USA.

'Raul is an extremely well known personality in the wines and spirits industry in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Mexico and brings a wealth of experience to WOKKA SAKi,' comments Tim Day, Creator and Marketing Director, ' We had been considering expanding our efforts into this region but wanted to make sure we had the right person; and with Raul's extensive background in the wine and spirits industry, his enthusiasm, professionalism, hard work and numerous contacts, he's definitely the man for the mission !' adds Tim Day.

Raul started his career in the wine and spirits industry at Joseph E. Seagram & Sons in 1968 in the international division, during his time at Seagram he worked in various divisions over 13 years. Raul is a senior marketeer with unbounded dedication and professionalism in the development of International brands in Latin America, The Caribbean & Mexico, sush as: Absolut Vodka, Brown Forman International portfolio (Jack Daniels, Southern Comfort), Lanson champagne, & Jim Beam brands amongst others.

Raul's career highlight, took place with Absolut vodka, when he achieved the incredible task of taking the brand from zero cases to a record 350,000 cases in 1996. In recognition, Absolut rewarded Raul with the title 'Absolut Ambassador' for his region.

What makes WOKKA SAKi so special ?:

It's all in the blend ..... a rare process of three step micro distillation in a single 400 litre stainless steel pot still known as 'Tom Thumb', ensures the grain vodka in WOKKA SAKi is exceptionally smooth. Fine imported Japanese saké is then carefully blended with the vodka and a subtle fusion of Asian fruit is added that harnesses the character of WOKKA SAKi and gives it its distinctive flavour.This labour intensive process of single batch distillation and manual blending is reserved for only the finest and most expensive spirits.

Inspired by 'Snow Monsters':

Each year between January and March, powerful winds from the Siberian plains whip the surface of the Sea of Japan, becoming heavy with freezing vapour before hitting the Japanese coast and rising high over the Asahi mountains. Standing in their path, giant conifers on the slopes of Mount Zao become coated with layer upon layer of snow and ice, until eventually their shapes are obscured and distorted. These petrified giants seem to stalk the valleys and are known as 'snow monsters' or 'Juhyo'. Their awesome beauty is celebrated at Mount Zao's annual Snow Monster festival.
